PREAMBLE
This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile application "AMEDEE OAK" (hereinafter referred to as "the Application"), published by the company AMEDEE, processes the data of its users.
This Policy complies with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (GDPR), the French law n°78-17 of 6 January 1978 as amended (Data Protection Act), the Apple App Store Review Guidelines section 5.1 (Privacy), and the Apple App Privacy Details (Privacy Nutrition Label) requirements.
ARTICLE 1: SUMMARY IN THREE POINTS
1. The Application does not collect ANY personal data. No account, no registration, no email requested.
2. All data entered (volumes, parameters, calculation history, cuvée name) remains stored locally on your device. They are never transmitted to the publisher or to a third party.
3. The Application works entirely offline after download. No communication with a server takes place during use.
ARTICLE 2: DATA NOT COLLECTED BY AMEDEE OAK
The Application does not collect, store or transmit to the Publisher ANY of the following categories of data: identity (name, first name, date of birth), contact details (email, phone, postal address), identifiers (login, password), health data, financial data (bank card, account numbers), precise location data (GPS), advertising identifiers (IDFA, IDFV), cookies (the Application is a native app, not a website), browsing history, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, user calendar, behavioural or usage data for advertising purposes.
ARTICLE 3: DATA STORED LOCALLY ON THE DEVICE
The following data is stored only on the user's device, via the native iOS @capacitor/preferences mechanism or equivalent local storage. It never leaves the device:
- Regional preferences (detected region EU/US, Metric/US units, language): to tailor the display to the user.
- Calculation history (inputs and outputs of the last 20 calculations per tool): to allow consultation of the history.
- Cuvée name (freely entered optional text, tank breeding tool): to personalise the generated PDF.
- Display preferences (light/dark mode according to iOS settings): to adapt the visual rendering.
GDPR status: since this data does not leave the device and is not associated with any user identifier transmitted to the Publisher, it does not constitute a "processing of personal data" within the meaning of Article 4 of the GDPR by the Publisher.
The user can delete this data at any time by uninstalling the Application, using the 'Clear History' function on the History page, or through the iOS settings: Settings → General → iPhone Storage → AMEDEE OAK → Delete App.
ARTICLE 4: TECHNICAL DATA PROCESSED BY APPLE
Apple Inc., as the operator of the App Store and the iOS operating system, may automatically collect certain anonymised or pseudonymised technical data: crash reports (diagnostics of crashes), performance metrics (CPU, memory, application optimisation), App Store installation identifier (anonymised audience measurements). This data is collected and processed by Apple Inc., not by the company AMEDEE. It is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
The user can refuse the sharing of this data in the iOS settings: Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share iPhone Analytics → Disable.
The Publisher does not have access to the personal data of users collected by Apple. The only data that Apple transmits to them are aggregated and anonymised statistics via the App Store Connect interface.
ARTICLE 5: LINKS TO THIRD-PARTY SITES
The Application contains links to the Publisher's e-commerce sites: Europe (www.amedee-oak.fr/shop) and North America (amedee.us/shop). When the user clicks on a link, they leave the Application and are redirected to the Safari browser. From that point on, the e-commerce sites have their own privacy policy and their own data processing. Privacy policy of the European e-commerce site: www.amedee-oak.fr/cookie-policy.
ARTICLE 6: 'SHARE' FUNCTION
The Application offers a 'Share' function that uses the native iOS Share Sheet. The Application only transmits the textual summary of the ongoing calculation to the iOS system. The user then chooses the destination application. The Publisher does not receive any copy of the shared text or the identity of the recipient.
ARTICLE 7: APPLE PRIVACY NUTRITION LABEL
In accordance with Apple’s requirements, the Publisher declares the following data collection in the App Store listing: Data Used to Track You = None (no advertising tracking), Data Linked to You = None (no data associated with identity), Data Not Linked to You = None or Diagnostics if standard Apple telemetry (local storage only). Declared Privacy Label: Data Not Collected.
ARTICLE 8: USER RIGHTS (GDPR)
Although the Publisher does not process personal data transmitted by the Application, the user has the following rights in accordance with Articles 12 to 22 of the GDPR:
- Right of access (Article 15): not applicable, no data held by the Publisher.
- Right to rectification (Article 16): not applicable.
- Right to erasure (Article 17): complete erasure via uninstallation of the Application.
- Right to restriction of processing (Article 18): not applicable.
- Right to data portability (Article 20): the 'Share' + 'Export PDF' function allows data to be retrieved in a readable format.
- Right to object (Article 21): not applicable.
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Article 77): with the CNIL (France) — https://www.cnil.fr/fr/plaintes — or with the competent authority of the user's country of residence in the EU.

ARTICLE 9: DATA SECURITY
Since no data is transmitted to the Publisher, the security measures mainly concern the security of the user's device (iOS encrypts local storage by default), the security of the Application (code obfuscated via Apple build, distributed exclusively via the official App Store), and the security of links to third-party sites (HTTPS / TLS 1.2+).
ARTICLE 10: MINORS
The Application is intended for adult wine professionals. It is not intended for minors under 18 years of age. As the Publisher does not collect any data, no children's data is collected by design. The Application has been rated 17+ on the App Store due to references to alcohol.
ARTICLE 11: INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
As the Publisher does not transfer any data outside the EU, no international transfer is involved on its part. Any transfers made by Apple Inc. are governed by the transfer mechanisms implemented by Apple, including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
ARTICLE 12: POLICY CHANGES
The Publisher reserves the right to modify this Policy. The most recent version is always available at www.amedee-oak.fr/privacy.
