AMÉDÉE at Origin Natura: French Oak Innovation Meets Spanish Winemaking

Spain is one of the world's great wine-producing nations, and I have been steadily building AMEDEE's presence in this dynamic market. Our participation at Origin Natura in Ciudad Real was a key milestone in this journey, connecting directly with Spanish winemakers and showing them how French oak alternatives can elevate their wines.

Origin Natura: Where Nature Meets Innovation

Origin Natura is a trade event that brings together producers, suppliers, and technology providers focused on natural and sustainable approaches to winemaking. Held in Ciudad Real, in the heart of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain's largest wine-producing region, the event attracts forward-thinking professionals seeking innovative solutions to improve their wines while respecting the environment.

AMEDEE at Origin Natura

I presented the full AMEDEE range of oak alternatives, with particular emphasis on products suited to Spanish grape varieties and winemaking styles. The conversations were fascinating. Spanish winemakers face unique challenges: hot climate vintages, the need to preserve freshness and fruit character, and a market that increasingly demands both quality and sustainability.

Our Couleur Primaire range resonated strongly. The ability to select specific aromatic profiles and apply them with precision is exactly what winemakers in Castilla-La Mancha, Rioja, and other regions need to differentiate their wines in a competitive global market.

French Oak in Spanish Wine

There is a natural affinity between French oak and Spanish winemaking. The elegance and finesse of French oak complements the power and generosity of Spanish grape varieties like Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Monastrell. What I bring with AMEDEE is the ability to deliver that French oak character with more precision and less environmental impact than traditional barrels.

The Spanish market is evolving rapidly, and I am convinced that oak alternatives will play an increasingly important role. Origin Natura confirmed what I already felt: there is a genuine appetite here for innovation rooted in quality and sustainability.
